Love a nice rocker. Plastic Vitra model from 2006. This one lived by the beach so has some pitting on the chrome but cleaned up pretty nice nonetheless. Now it lives in Ohio and dreams of salt water waves. #eamesrocker #vitraeames

Something different in the shop today. An early 1970's @ampeg SVT bass amp head and matching 8x10 speaker cab. Old grill cloth was looking a little crusty. Fresh stuff fabric from fliptops.net in Buffalo, NY. I love patina but this old stuff had to go!

On the speakers at the shop today, Daniel Romano - Modern Pressure, while doing some stripping. Prepping a nice Kravet sofa to be reupholstered. One of my first jobs in an upholstery shop was stripping furniture. If you embrace the monotony it can be pretty relaxing. Let your mind wander but watch for flying staples!

Found inside a chair today. As a Wilson brother, I love this. Decided to keep it in there instead of "fixing" it. Made it work and kept its history intact.

I never get tired of the classic black leather Herman Miller Eames 670 lounge. This is chair is rosewood example from 1963-64? Missing its round label but still has the patent sticker. Basically untouched and as found after being forgotten about in an Ohio basement for who knows how long. #eameslounge #hermanmiller

My dad taught me all about furniture. When I pieced together my first Eames lounge and ottoman many years ago, he couldn't sit down in it fast enough. He had told me about this mythical combination and recounted stories of seeing them in the wild. We are celebrating his life today and this picture sums up many things I loved about him.

One of my favorite chairs of all time. Found these old pics. This chair had super crumbly foam in the seat causing it to look lumpy. The owner wanted the foam replaced while keeping the original upholstery. So that’s what I did! #sigvardbernadotte #franceandson #johnstuart #furniturerepair #disintegratingfoam #ireallylikechairs
